1. (Scotland, obsolete) Excessive; extravagant; inordinate; vexatious.
   • The remaining grounds are, that the facts proved did not warrant a conviction, and that the proceedings were nimious and oppressive, and I am of the opinion that these are grounds on which this Bill of Suspension cannot be sustained. 1887, “No. 18, Rattray v.
