Coined with Latin septem (“seven”) and Ancient Greek ἑπτᾰ́ (heptắ, “seven”) in mind, for the seventh order of 10³. The consonants pt are reduced to tt; the initial z was chosen instead of s to avoid confusion with s (“second”, symbol)
