(alt-of, alternative) Alternative form of wordprocess.
At a time interval the user chooses, Wordvision will pause and save the file being worked on to disk. (It can be directed instead to emit a beep to remind users to do the saving themselves.) Anyone who has lost pages of text through forgetfulness combined with human or machine error--which is very probably anyone who has been word processing for more than a few weeks--will appreciate how useful this feature can be.
