(neologism, uncountable) A style of music characterized by chopped and screwed hip-hop soundscapes, industrial and noise experimentation, and the use of synthesizers, drum machines, obscure samples, droning repetition and heavily altered, ethereal, indiscernible vocals.
Inspired by early rave and dream-pop, witch house also takes its cue from the "chopped and screwed" remix technique so prevalent in early 90s hip-hop.
