Partial calque of Armenian սպիտակ եղեռն (spitak eġeṙn), literally "white Yeghern", and/or various similar terms like ճերմակ ջարդ (čermak ǰard, “white massacre”).

Meanings

1. (uncountable) The supposed elimination of Armenian identity (culturicide), particularly among diasporic Armenians, through assimilation to other cultures and languages.
