  1. (rare) Unlike a comet.
    • The neon lines were fairly intense and are quite uncometary. It has been suggested to me that the cyanogen might have been generated during the fall of the meteorites by a reaction between atmospheric nitrogen and cohenite or carbon. 1940, American journal of science, volume 238, page 571:
