Calque of Sanskrit सांध्याभाषा (sāṃdhyābhāṣā).

Meanings

1. (countable, uncountable) A secret communication system, involving verbal, nonvisual, or visual symbols, associated with tantric traditions in Vajrayana Buddhism and Hinduism.
