1. (euphemistic, humorous) tax or taxes, treated as if it were taboo.
   • Some will claim these tax hikes aren't really taxes. 3. (euphemistic) Any of several other words beginning with t when regarded (sometimes humorously) as taboo, for example tit, twat, turd, terrorist or terrorism, treason, Trump.
