Meanings

1. A group of connected tiles that can be placed, like a single tile, in a generated landscape.
   • But the only landscape that would ever move would be water — if you can call it landscape. No other land really moves except in geologic time. In order for moving landscape to work, you'll need supertiles, and lots of them. 1999, Mickey Kawick, Real-Time Strategy Game Programming Using Direct 6.0, page 478:
   • Alternatively, you can make "supertiles" that have more than 1 hex/rectangle each to get grouping. 4-6 areas per supertile is probably O.K.
