(uncountable) A steel product that is produced from a hot rolled strip that has been pickled.
Since the beginning of the year a new service has been developing in the Scottish Region for the conveyance of strip steel produced by Messrs. Colvilles Ltd. at their new Ravenscraig works, near Motherwell. Block trainloads of strip steel coils are now passing daily between Ravenscraig and the firm's other plant at Gartcosh, some nine miles away, or Grangemouth for shipment.
