   • For the large rectangular mat, the bulrush or rush, as Scirpus validus Vahl., is concurred in by Densmore (1928, pp. 293, 295, 378), Gilmore (1933, p. 124), Kinietz and Jones (1942, p. 525), and Smith (1932, p. 418).
