A small fan gathering, typically held in a hotel room.
At most cons I host a room party, usually related to the zine, but not always. They're quiet room parties because I'm one of those weirdo fans who doesn't really drink, and a lot of my fannish friends have small children, so we just don't serve alcohol at our parties.
