(Australia, countable, historical, slang) A person who made a living by catching rabbits and selling the meat.
This is a modernised version of Lawson's yarn: A rabbito, new to the job, was not having much luck. No matter what he did, he couldn't seem to bag a single rabbit. The old hands were doing well, so the new bloke asked them for advice.
