1. (dated) To corrupt by getting a significant number of members to collaborate with an enemy occupying force.
   • Then, in September 1942, Quisling's cherished plans for a 'cooporative' parliament had been completely thwarted by mass resignations from the trade unions (which he had earlier taken over and 'quislingized') in protest against his decree of 10 September 1942 making membership of these unions compulsory. 1952, Arnold Toynbee, Survey of International Affairs, 1939-1946 - Volume 4, page 542:
