Meanings

1. A word or sequence of words that almost reads the same forwards and backwards.
   • "Good dog" is an unambitious pseudopalindrome.
2. A stretch of DNA, consisting of an odd number of base pairs, of which the nucleotides on one strand are in the reverse order to that of the complementary strand except for the central nucleotide, which is necessarily different.
   • ACAGTGT and TGTCACA are a based pair of pseudopalindromes.
