2. (not-comparable) Describing a character that can also be represented an equivalent string of other characters (typically a letter and a diacritical mark).
   • For example, the middle letter of naïve could be represented using the combining character approach by U+0069 U+0308, or as a single, precomposed unit using the already prepared character U+00EF.
