Any muscle involved in plantarflexion.
A stiff tendon of the plantarflexor muscle can quickly transmit the generated force to the BoS in order to adjust the position of CoP below the projection of CoM when the balance needs to be recovered (Morasso et al. 1999 ; Loram et al. 2005 ).
