1. One who is not a freshman.
   • Marginal nonfreshmen are much less likely to receive no choice than are safe nonfreshmen, but they are about equally likely to receive their first choice as are safe nonfreshmen. 1987, Matthew D. McCubbins, Terry Sullivan, Congress: Structure and Policy, page 195:
