monophosphohistidine en · NOUN
Etymology
From mono- + phosphohistidine.
Meanings
-
Either of two N-phosphorylated derivatives of histidine
The two forms of monophosphohistidine are both known to occur in cellular proteins ( Walinder, 1969b ; Chen et al., 1977 ; Fujitaki et al., 1981 ), however the diphospho form has only been reported in chemically phosphorylated proteins.
