1. (transitive) To mail incorrectly; to send (a letter etc.) to the wrong place.
   • As the disbursing clerk, through his employees, mailed the check in accordance with the address furnished him by the Agricultural Adjustment Administration, it seems that no blame can be attached to him for its mismailing. 1936, Decisions of the Comptroller General of the United States, volume 15, page 980:
