Etymology

From maple + MAGA. Sometimes expressed as maple syrup MAGA. The maple leaf is a symbol of Canada; maple syrup is a stereotypical Canadian product. The acronym MAGA, which stands for Make American Great Again, is associated with Donald Trump and his political supporters.
