Etymology

From a blend of lukewarm + hot, probably modelled after lukecold. Equivalent to luke + hot.

Meanings

1. (rare) Between warm and hot temperatures, but hotter than lukewarm.
   • But I tend to try to get as much water as hot as possible, so I sometimes fill it too much, too late, and end up with a lot of "lukehot" water. 2003, Home Power - Issues 92-98, page 85:
