1. A medieval script originating in 7ᵗʰ-century Ireland, derived from the semi-uncial and the New Roman cursive scripts
   • In Ammian. ⅹⅹ. 3. 1 secuturos thecanno VM: for secuto post haec anno; the original error must have been secutoros, with the confusion of P and R common in reading the insular script. 1913, F[rederick] W[illiam] Hall, “Emendation” (chapter 7), in A Companion to Classical Texts, Oxford, Confusion of similar letters in Latin - P, R, page 162:
