1. (nonstandard, rare) In an impromptu manner; impromptu.
   • Pearce reads the latter as a shirt worn backwards, over the shoulder, with the loose sleeve impromptuly tied to the shirttail at the waist and elaborated by the artist into a bow. 1992, Jean K.
