1. (uncountable, usually) The state of having more than the haploid complement of chromosomes.

   • The frequency of sperm-derived hyperhaploidy did not differ significantly between the in vivo (3.4%) and in vitro (5.9%) populations, but did between unaged (2.5%) and aged (6.8%) sperm (chi c2 = 5.74, P less than 0.01).
