1. A hooked implement used to thread a strand of the warp through the eye of a heddle.
   • Threading can be done either by catching each warp end with a bent or straight heddle hook, or by using the fingers as if repeatedly threading large needles (heddles) with separate threads (warp ends). 1984, Blair Tate, The Warp: A Weaving Reference, page 96:
