(qualifier:playground games, uncountable) A variant of the playground game tag, in which a tagged player, rather than becoming "it", becomes "frozen" (and forbidden from moving) but may be unfrozen by being touched by an untagged player.
As part of the NFL initiative "Play 60," Garrard stressed to the 300 or so students the importance of at least an hour of exercise a day. He told them he enjoyed playing freeze tag, hide and seek or just playing with frogs outside.
