Meanings

1. (uncountable, usually) The grazing of animals, such as horses, on land without the permission of the landowner.
   • Fly-grazing is the same as fly-tipping: owners may no longer want the horse, but can’t afford - or don’t want - to pay the charges for having them legally slaughtered, so they let them out to starve or take their chances. 2021, Bella Bathurst, Field Work: What Land Does to People & What People Do to Land, Profile, page 42:
