Blend of egg + sandwich or egg + -wich.

A sandwich with a filling of egg or egg patty.
- There are eight categories: classic (chicken salad, egg salad, club), chicken, turkey, vegetarian, Italian (pepperoni pizzawich, meatball, grinder), ham, beef, and seafood ("krab," tuna, surf and turf). There's also an extra one called eggwiches.
