1. A flexible strip attached to the bottom or side of a door to prevent draughts entering through the gap.
   • The sliding door, which is fitted with a drop light, is shrouded with bristle-type draught excluders. 1954 February, “Third Class Corridor Brake Coaches for British Railways”, in Railway Magazine, pages 132-133:

2. Any other object used to prevent draughts, such as a chimney balloon.
3. (colloquial) A player deployed to lie behind the defensive wall at a free kick, to prevent a low shot going under the jumping wall.
