Half and quarter blood dragonkin have very obvious physical differences, as well as many abilities and attributes of their dragon ancestors. Eighth blood dragonkin will have some physical traits of the dragon as well as some attributes.

They have an overpowering desire to acquire magic items, and target characters who possess these items in preference to others. In October 2003, a dragonkin by the calling Starblade created a thread on otherkin in a Livejournal community for debates. The thread began with Starblade giving his personal views of being a “dragon spiritually” and so thus would fit under the term otherkin which then spawned a large debate over otherkin.
