  1. (uncountable) disinformation, especially in the context of the former Soviet Union
    • Though Moscow has been transmitting propaganda and dezinformatsiya, or disinformation, since the Soviets came to power in 1922, the propaganda’s tenor and volume have sharpened and increased over the past decade.
