Meanings
-
(countable, uncountable) A Wiccan or feminist ceremony that recognizes older women as wise and experienced "crones".
In many traditions, passage rites mark the passage into later maturity, but some feel that the emphasis placed on "cronings" and similar rituals lessen ^([sic]) the experiences for people at other stages of life, or even discredit those people.
