The slang derivative of this term was coined by the hosts of the Chapo Trap House podcast and popularized on its subreddit, r/chapotraphouse, as well as on the Bernie Sanders campaign movement's Twitter community. The term reached the youth mainstream via incel jargon, its use as a self-description coming from flame wars against right-wing users of the /pol/ board on 4chan (personified by the Chudjak/"le /pol/ face" meme).
