A bundled mixture of herbs or dried herbs used as a flavouring for stews, soups, and sauces.
In the past, the bouquet garni was a prescribed mixture of thyme, bay leaf, and parsley. But thankfully the traditional formula has changed as cooking methods have become less regimented.
