Meanings

1. To convert into asbestos or into a mixture containing asbestos.
   • No attempt has been made to strip the south contact of the peridotite between these two points, so that it is not known whether there is a continuous band of asbestified rock along the south contact of the peridotite. 1919, Geological Survey of Canada, Memoirs, page 40:
