   • The result is, that the shares of Elizabeth and William Arthur, who died in the testator's lifetime, lapsed and fell into the residue, the will being brought within the operation of the Wills Act by force of the afterdated codicil. 1858, The Weekly Reporter, volume 7, page 368:
