Etymology

When used by native speakers, a back-formation from adaptation; equivalent to adapt + -ate. When used by ESL speakers, a calque of Portuguese and Spanish adaptar; compare, for example, English integrate and Portuguese and Spanish integrar.

   • Using the formulae included the game moderator determins how much mana is needed to cast the magic. Works very well, but is specific to the game system, would need work to make it generic or useful in any other game.
