One who believes that the cosmos is in an abnormal state that can only be set right by divine influence.
On the other hand, there is the worldview represented by the abnormalists, who insist that the cosmos is in an aberrant state because a fundamental disturbance has taken place in the past which can only be remedied by a regenerating power that can restore it to its original goals (theism).
