From Mandarin 五臺 /五台 (Wǔtái).
Meanings
A county of Xinzhou, Shanxi, China.
Wutai county has already re-forested a million mou of hillside, and has plans for a further 800,000 mou to be tackled in the immediate future. Their greatest discovery came on an expedition in 1937 when they dated and meticulously catalogued Foguang Si, or the Temple of Buddha’s Light, in Wutai County, Shanxi Province.
