Meanings

1. (qualifier:university slang) A system in which an event (usually a class) begins ten minutes after the hour.
   • Our institution still operated under the colloquial “U of T” time, where events start late on purpose, to hold over from prepandemic days when the expanse of the school’s urban campus landscape rendered a walk from one class to another into a commute. 2023, Arun Jacob, Christine H.
