  1. (slang) The ship (romantic pairing) of characters Hermione Granger and Severus Snape from the Harry Potter series.
    • Pairing names are often portmanteaus of characters' names, although fans may not always agree on the forms that these amalgamations take — the Snape/Hermione ship, for example, may be called Snamione, Sevmione, Snermione or Snanger, depending on the preferences of the fans who participate in it. 2015, Amanda K.
