Named after the Swiss chemist Matthias Eduard Schweizer (1818–1860).

Meanings

  1. A deep-blue metal ammine complex with the chemical formula [Cu(NH₃)₄(H₂O)₂](OH)₂, prepared by dissolving copper(II) hydroxide in a solution of ammonia, and used in purifying cellulose.
