A not dissimilar outburst of fury among One Directioners followed the airing of film-maker Daisy Asquith’s documentary, Crazy about One Direction, which was shown on British television (Channel 4) in August 2013, even though this aimed to give a voice to fans, and treated the subject of fandom sympathetically.
