1. A town, the county town of County Limerick, Ireland.
   • At Newcastle West a reversal was necessary, the station being a terminus, like that at Killarney, although on a somewhat more elaborate plan. There is no other station at Newcastle; the suffix "West" seems to be to distinguish it from other places of the same name, of which there are several in Ireland. 1955 May, Rev. A. W. V.
