1. (rhetoric) A Hungarianism, a word or idiom of the Hungarian language borrowed by another language.
   • They found the Rumanian nation firmly established, race and language, and the latter remained pure of Magyarisms, even in Transylvania. 1915, David Mitrany, Rumania: Her History and Politics, page 7:
