A region of space with very low density, which our galaxy cluster, the Local Group, sticks into like a headland, and of which the Local Sheet, which the Local Group is attached to, forms one wall.
Similarly, the Oh-My-God particle had no discernible source. Scientists suggest this could indicate a much larger magnetic deflection than predicted, an unidentified source in the Local Void, or an incomplete understanding of high-energy particle physics.
