From Austrian German Linzertorte, from Linzer (“of Linz”) + Torte (“tart, round cake”).

Meanings

1. (countable, uncountable) A traditional Austrian pastry, a form of shortbread topped with fruit preserves and sliced nuts with a lattice design on top.
