Etymology

Borrowed from Middle French judaique (modern French judaïque) and its etymon Latin iūdaicus, from Ancient Greek Ἰουδαϊκός (Ioudaïkós), ultimately from Hebrew יְהוּדָה (y'hudá, “Judah”). By surface analysis, Juda + -ic.
