1. (US) A visa granted to foreign workers that allows them to be hired by American companies for agricultural occupations.
   • Kline interviewed with 285 Mexican H-2A workers in Ohio and learned that the first challenge for many was learning to cook and clean for themselves. The H-2As were men from rural Mexico who were accustomed to mothers and wives performing household chores.
